If you own a PowerMac 6100 and you’re wondering if it needs recapping, the answer is “probably not”. During this recapping I found a little bit of corrosion on the board, but it didn’t look like it was the result of leaky caps.
I have no doubt that they will need recapping in a few years, but for now, I think you can keep enjoying your old PowerPC without an immediate need for recapping.
