Welcome to my Macintosh Recapping blog. I’m an Australian-based web programmer (in Sydney) and I occupy my spare time repairing and restoring vintage Apple Macintosh computers. It’s my aim to try and keep as many of these old computers operational as possible.

One of the most common problems with old computers is the failure of capacitors. In order to keep the computers running, old capacitors need to be replaced with new ones, and this process has come to be known as “recapping”.

As you can see, the content on this site is still very scarce, but it will be continually expanding.

If you’re in Australia and you have a vintage computer that you would like recapped, please visit the recapping service page to contact me.

The following blog details my recent recapping projects. Enjoy!
