Macintosh Classic II (Rev A)

The Macintosh Classic II has a couple of revisions. The earlier version (shown here) has 13 surface mount electrolytic capacitors and four ROM chips in the bottom right corner. The later version has 17 surface mount electrolytic capacitors and two ROM chips in the bottom right corner. The Macintosh Classic II is very prone to capacitor leakage problems, as well as leaking batteries. If you have one in the cupboard and you don’t know if the battery has been changed or the capacitors replaced, you must see to it right away!
