Macintosh II (Rev A)

The Macintosh II has a couple of revisions. The earlier version (shown here) uses axial electrolytic capacitors, whereas the later version uses quite a few surface mount electrolytic capacitors instead. This earlier version is not really prone to capacitor issues but they do have problems relating to the soldered batteries (not shown here). When they go flat, they stop the computer from booting, and therefore need to be replaced. Someone has already had a go with this board (see the red wires) but I replaced these with battery holders, to allow easier battery changing.
