I have released the first two videos of a series I will be making on 3D modelling with Onshape for 3D printing. Now you might be asking: “what does this have to do with vintage Macs?”
Many of these old Macs have issues with broken plastics, so the need to design and 3D print replacements parts becomes necessary for restoration. Not to mention the need for custom mounting brackets to accomodate some of the modern replacement devices, such as BlueSCSI and ZuluSCSI.
And while there may be others paving the way with some great 3D designs, it is my belief that you will never wield the full power of 3D printing unless you learn how to design things for yourself.
My YouTube channel has always been about the sharing of knowledge, so I decided it would be a good idea to create some instructional videos to help people get started with 3D modelling, without any need for prior knowledge.
